We all experience distress in our lives.  Learning skills to alleviate this dis-ease is a key component of healing, and yet, through this learning, we can move beyond temporary measures; we can connect with a lasting capacity to influence our experience in an empowered way.

I support people as they work through old habits, traumas, and wounds that   block connection and create distress, dis-empowerment, and a sense of being "stuck."  By using the body to connect with the present moment, my work encourages people to find an expanded capacity to meet and transform the hardships of life. With such expansion, difficult experiences can become manageable, and the joys of life can be felt more fully.

I bring to my clients an eclectic, anti-oppression framework informed by my life experience as genderqueer and based in Somatic Psychology, Attachment Theory, and Trauma Treatment.  I have led several body based Stress Management Groups in the Bay Area and have been a meditation practitioner in the Vipassana tradition for many years.  My style offers clients a calm presence that is at once direct and gentle.

Please note that I am currently on leave and will not be accepting new clients until December 2021.  Please be in touch with me then if you'd like to have a consult call.
